The Chief Minister held a Polavaram review meeting at Praja Vedika today.

"65.04% of the Polavaram project has been completed so far. We must speed up the works in the coming three months in order to reach our targets," he said.

Four irrigation projects, KL Rao Sagar Pulichintala, Kandula Obulreddy Gundlakamma reservoir, Madakasira branch canal and Adavipalli reservoir are complete and ready for inauguration. In a review meeting held today, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that 1.70 Lac acres of land will be irrigated through these four projects and 13,40,772 acres ayacut will be stabilized.

Reviewing the progress of irrigation project works, the Chief Minister said that out of 62 projects, 19 have been completed so far at an expenditure of Rs. 5,802 Cr. 26 projects are under progress, for the completion of which, Rs. 20,849 Cr will be spent. These projects will irrigate 11,87,588 acres of new ayacut and stabilize 23,00509 acres.

"Krishna river water will reach Madanapalle by tomorrow. 150 cusecs of water has been released to the Cherlopalli reservoir and 85 cusecs to Chittoor border. We will also release water to Kuppam by 25th Feb," added the Chief Minister.
