Busan is South Korea’s second most populous city after Seoul, with a population of over 3.5 M inhabitants. It is the economic, cultural and educational center of South-Eastern Korea. It is also a maritime logistics hub in North-East Asia with its world-class mega ports and a gateway to the Eurasian continent.
Mr Jeong Doek-Min requested the Chief Minister for stronger economic, trade and cultural ties between Busan and Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister said, “Andhra Pradesh is gifted with a long coastline. Through this collaboration, we want to build ships and develop inland water logistics. There is a wide scope of growth in the food processing and dairy sectors. We must promote Indian and South Korea cultures through a township in Amaravati.”
The Chief Minister invited the delegation to explore more investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh. “We want to develop Andhra Pradesh as a manufacturing hub. We have the perfect ecosystem for attracting industries in AP,” he added.
CM expressed hope that Andhra Pradesh would be developed into an industrial hub like Busan and called for elevating the status of the partnership with the city.
