CM visited Akkupalle, Pedavanka, Chinavanka, Garudabadra, Sarlagaduru, Bypalle and Dokulapadu among other villages. On being asked, the villagers expressed satisfaction with the drinking water supplied through generators. He instilled confidence in the people that the State government is working day and night to restore normalcy as soon as possible.
Announcing a special package to Uddanam, the Chief Minister said that the State government has been providing the highest compensation. “15 Ministers are touring various affected mandals to ensure that power supply is restored in remaining villages,” he added.
ITC company officials handed over 1,15,200 biscuit packets, 25,000 Kg wheat flour, and 1,00,800 packs of noodles for distribution in the cyclone-affected regions. The Amararaja company handed over emergency phone charging stations. These mobile charging stations were sent to various villages to prevent inconvenience to people who were deprived of the communication facility from the past one week.
The State government is focusing on the prevention of epidemic from spreading. Mobile clinics and health camps have been organized in order to conduct health check-ups at the doorsteps of villagers in the cyclone-affected villages. Chlorination drives have also been taken up in several villages.
The IAS officials who were appointed as special officers at the mandal level are supervising the mid-day meal scheme for people. Animal health camps have also been organized to prevent loss of livestock.
