The company is expected to set up a solar battery manufacturing plant with an investment of Rs. 727 Cr in AP. The Chief Minister discussed plans of AP government to introduce electric vehicles in the State, Triton Solar's Chairman Mr. Himansu Patel and Managing Partner Mr. Nand Sandilya came forward with the proposal.
The company representatives entered into an MoU with EDB in the presence of the Chief Minister, Mr. Ajay Jain, Principal Secretary of Industry and Investments, Mr. Jasti Krishna Kishore, CEO, AP Economic Development board.
Triton Solar's heads informed that the company is ready to invest Rs. 727 Cr in a phased manner in the solar battery unit which will produce batteries based on nano and lithium polymer technology. They said that the company would generate plenty of employment opportunities for the local youth. In addition to this, it would also contribute to the reduction of pollution caused by vehicles in the State.
